9 Different use of ginger which helps in improving your health.

Do you remember, when you felt nausea or morning sickness, or digestion problem, what’s the first ingredient you have taken to cure yourself? I bet ginger is one of them. It's very easy to find, I’m sure if you look into your kitchen right now, you’ll find it in your freezer bag. Ginger is commonly found in a southeast Asian country such as China, Japan, and India, but for quiet sometimes it's now grown in parts of South America and Africa. For medicine and food purposes, it has started growing in the Middle East.

Ginger is one of the most common ingredients in recipes. it is sometimes used in processed foods and cosmetics. Ginger is mostly used in soaps and cosmetics for providing the acquired fragrance. You can use ginger in any form like dried, fresh, powdered, or as juice or oil.

For reducing nausea and inflammation ginger contains chemicals within it. The researcher believes that ginger not only works in the stomach and intestine, but it also helps the brain and nervous system to control nausea.

1.Calms Nausea and emits vomiting.

Ginger is a highly effective ingredient against nausea. It helps in reducing nausea and vomiting for people who have undergone a certain type of surgery. Chemotherapy-related nausea and sickness can also be reduced by ginger. A queasy stomach can be ease by ginger, especially during pregnancy for reducing morning sickness.

Ginger works by breaking up and getting rid of built-up gas in your intestines. It has been found that around 1.1 to 1.5 grams of ginger per day can significantly reduce the level of nausea. Although ginger is considered to be safe for pregnant women, before consuming it, talk to your doctor about how much amount one can take during that period.

2.Eases Menstrual pain.

If you get menstrual cramps, get a ginger powder that may help! A study had conducted and it shows that women who consumed 1,500 milligrams of ginger power once a day for around 3-4 days during their cycle, felt less pain than the other women who didn’t.

Another study was done in 2009, where 150 women were instructed to take either ginger or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for the first days of their menstrual cycle.

Three different groups were made, the first group has given 200 mg of ginger powder, the second one has given 250 mg mefenamic and the last one has given 400 mg of ibuprofen. It is found that women who took ginger felt comparatively lesser pain than the other two group women. 


3.Lowers Cholesterol.

Your Cholesterol level depends upon the food you eat. The risk of Heart disease is directly linked with a high level of LDL cholesterol. A daily dose of ginger may help you control your “bad” or LDL cholesterol level. A recent research study has found that taking 5 grams of ginger each day for 3months lowered people’s LDL cholesterol.

4.Lower Blood Sugar.

One recent study suggested that ginger may help your body use insulin better. Another study was conducted in 2015, where 41 participants with type 2 diabetes have given 2 grams of ginger powder per day, which lowered fasting blood sugar by 12%.

For people with no such disease like diabetes, can consume up to 4 grams per day, which helps in regulating your insulin production and lowering blood sugar.

5.Lowers Chronic Indigestion.

When you feel recurrent pain and discomfort in the upper part of the stomach, it happens because of Chronic indigestion. If you have delayed emptying of the stomach for so long is a major cause of indigestion. Ginger helps in speeding up the process of emptying the stomach, which can be helpful for people with the problem of indigestion and stomach-related discomfort.

Taking one ginger capsule per day will help you reduce chronic indigestion.

6.Can help with osteoarthritis. 


When you feel joint pain and stiffness in your body, it is called osteoarthritis. It’s a very common problem. One recent literature review stated that people using ginger to treat their Oa have significant reductions in pain and disability.

According to research ginger has powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. It helps in reducing the result of having an excess number of free radicals in the body which is known as oxidative stress.

Ginger has been used to aid any digestion problem, help fight the flu and common cold and reduce nausea with the help of gingerol.

8.helps in preventing cancer.

The anti-cancer property of ginger is attributed to gingerol, which is found in large amounts in raw ginger. 2 grams of ginger per day are given to people at a risk for colorectal cancer, in a 28-day study. It significantly helped in reducing pro-inflammatory signaling molecules in the colon.

It may be effective for people who are suffering from breast cancer and ovarian cancer.

9.Helps in weight loss.

Ginger plays a very important role in reducing weight. A study was conducted in 2016, in which 80 women with obesity have found that ginger can help to reduce their body mass index and blood insulin level. Different studies have been conducted both on humans and animals and the results came out to be positive. Evidence of lowering the obesity level is more prominent in animals than human beings.

2 grams of ginger for 12 weeks is highly recommended for reducing weight.
